Winnebago class A gas motor homes are usually offered on one of two chassis. The Ford chassis powered by the Ford V-10 engine on 1999 model Winnebago RVs and newer or the Chevrolet chassis powered by the 454 Chevy on most units older than 1999. Most 2000 model or newer Winnebago motor homes powered by a Chevrolet engine will feature a Workhorse chassis and the 8.1L Chevy engine.Â
