Based in Ontario, Canada, Mountain High Coachworks, Inc. manufactured the quality Class A, the Mountain High Coachworks Residency RV and the Mountain High Coachworks Pinnacle RV, and Mountain High Coachworks Summit RV models until 2001, when the company was purchased by Gordie Hakes.

Gordie Hakes liked an RV manufacturing company so much he bought it. Hakes sold Mountain High Coachworks RVs and fifth-wheel trailers for about 18 months at his Painted Post Car Mart RV dealership in Painted Post, N.Y., before buying the company. Hakes said his decision stemmed from a passion for manufacturing that took root while he was a dealer.
