Motor Home Specialist offers Used American Eagle RVs for sale. The American eagle was first made available in 1994. By 1995 the American Eagle RV was already available in 11 different floor plans.
In 1995 the American Eagle RV was available in 11 different floor plans. The American Eagle of 1995 had two 38 foot floor plans eight 39 foot floor plans and one 40 foot floor plan with a 300 hp Cummins diesel engine.
The 1996 American Eagle was offered in five floor plans. All 1996 model American Eagles will have a 300 hp Cummins diesel engine.
In 1997 the American Eagle RV was available in only three floor plans but all had a 325 hp Cummins diesel engine.
The first American Eagle RV available with a slide out room was in 1998. The American Eagle 40 foot VS model offered a 325 hp Cummins diesel engine and one galley slide out.
In 1999 American Eagle RV offered only 40 foot floor plans but now two of those floor plans were available with slide out rooms. By 1999 the average American Eagle RV had a window sticker of approximately $270,000.
American Coach expanded the American Eagle RV to include seven 40’ models and for the first time the American Eagle motor home was made available with two slide-out rooms. Only one 2001 American Eagle RV was still made as a single slide-out.
The 2002 American Eagle motor home was made up of entirely double slide-out floor plans and even offered the triple slide American Eagle RV. All American Eagles of this time were still 40’ in length and no Tag axle American Eagle RVs were made yet.
In 2003 The American Eagle RV had three 42’ tag axle RVs available. The American Eagle motor homes were also the first to boost a 500HP Cummins diesel engine and Spartan K-2 chassis. These American Eagle RVs had an approximate suggested list price of about $400,000.
By 2004 the American Eagle RV had grown to offering 22 different engine and floor plan variations. The American Eagle 42R was the signature coach of that year with an average suggested list of about $469,000. By this time true full body paint as it is known today had become common on the American Eagle.
In 2006 American Coach switched gears and tried something different by offering the Caterpillar diesel engine the American Eagle line. The 40’ American Eagle RVs were available with a 400HP and the 42’ American Eagle RV floor plans featured a 525 HP.
In 2007 American Coach RV returned to their traditional Spartan chassis and Cummins diesel setup in the American Eagle RV. The also expanded the American Eagle RV to include three 45’ 500HP models, but still remained offering two non tag axle American Eagle RVs. Well appointed American Coach Eagles of this time may very well have listed for more than $500,000.
2008 and newer American Eagle RVs are all 42’ to 45’ floor plans with only one exception in 2008. Later model American Eagle RVs like these can list for as much as $525,000.
The American Coach line is a division of Fleetwood RV and was founded in 1991 with the first American Eagle RV. American Coach also offers the American Allegiance RV, American Tradition RV and the American Heritage RV. They also produced the American Dream RV from 1994 until 2003.
